Sydney Groom

At just 17, this young entrepreneur graduated with her Associate’s Degree before graduating High School. During this time Sydney is accredited with being the youngest contestant to ever compete for the title of Miss Florida under the Miss America Organization. Just two years later, Sydney graduated Cum Laude from the University of Florida (UF) with a Bachelors’s in Agriculture Education and Communications with a focus in Communication and Leadership Development. Sydney’s time in undergrad opened the door to an internship at UF’s College of Pharmacy’s Events Department where she learned the art of planning and executing corporate events and conferences.

When COVID-19 hit, Groom found herself in Fairfield, Illinois listening to her first-ever writers round, in that moment her course of action forever changed. With motivation from mentor and Pumphouse Records President Rob Hatch, Sydney spent the next year and a half pursuing her Masters from the University of Florida in Tourism and Recreational Management where she focused her studies on Entertainment and the migration of people surrounding major festivals and events.

In May of 2021, Sydney took a leap of faith and moved to Nashville. There she completed her practicum with Pumphouse Records. Sydney gained unparallel knowledge of the industry and learned the ins and outs of the music business. At just 21 years young, Sydney was hired on to run operations for Entersong Entertainment, LLC.

Currently, Sydney is the main point of contact for songwriters as well as clients within the company and prides herself in her desire to see songwriters succeed. If you ask her, it all started with her life mission, “For the rest of my life I want to make good people great.“
