Beyond songwriting, Steve has been one of Nashville’s leading advocates for creators’ rights. More than fifteen years ago, he was elected to the Board of the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI), ultimately serving an unprecedented seven consecutive years as NSAI Board President.
