After attending the United States Naval Academy Prep School and graduating from Virginia Tech University with a degree in Economics, Dave made the move to Nashville. Eleven years later he scored his first cut and first top ten hit with Darryl Worley’s “If Something Should Happen.” That same year Trace Adkins recorded the touching military tribute “Arlington” which went to #13 on the country charts.

Since then Dave has scored five #1 singles and several other top forty songs. Artists by the likes of Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley, Montgomery Gentry, Jake Owen, Mark Chesnutt, Craig Morgan, Craig Campbell, Sheryl Crow, Jordan Davis and Tim McGraw have recorded Dave’s songs.
