Singer songwriter Bill Luther was born in Virginia and raised in Pennsylvania. After high school, he met and married wife, Michelle. They started their family and decided to move to Nashville for Bill to pursue a songwriting career. It was 1988, and Bill started making friends and learning the ins and outs of the country music industry. He felt that it was like climbing a mountain or comparable to 10 years of going to school. And just when Bill and Michelle were ready to give up, lightning struck, and things changed. Bill has since written songs with many great songwriters. He has co-written several hits recorded by Tim McGraw, including “Let It Go,” “How Bad Do You Want It,” and McGraw’s Grammy award-winning duet with Faith Hill, “Let’s Make Love.” Luther has also co-written Kenny Chesney’s Top 5 hit “Who You’d Be Today” and Top 10 “What I Need to Do,” in addition to songs for Joe Nichols, Jo Dee Messina, Clint Black, Lee Ann Womack, Lee Greenwood, and many more.
