Adrienne Follese’ was raised in a musical family. Her mother, Jerrie Anger was a singer with her own radio show on KFRC in San Francisco. Her father, Maurice Anger was an accomplished jazz pianist and a leader of his own orchestra. Adrienne has been playing and singing music as long as she can remember.Her parents used to hold her up to a microphone to sing when she was too small to reach it.
Adrienne said,” I have always been lucky enough to write in both the country and pop genre. I appreciate all kinds of music”. She has written with Katy Perry, John Oats, Hot Chelle Rae, Jo Dee Messina, Kenny Chesney and Timothy Schmit of the Eagles. She said,” I was lucky enough to sing with Timothy, and I think that was the only time in my life I was a little star struck.
She also co-wrote and sang all the background vocals on the BMLG release of Ryan Follese’.She has had cuts on Martina McBride “I Love You” (Runaway Bride)(5 weeks #1),Jo Dee Messina “Dare to Dream”, Lady Antebellum “Long Gone”, John Pardi “Borrowed Time”, Johnny Reid “It Started With a Child” and Hush “Used to be You”.
Adrienne started writing when she was 13. She plays both guitar and piano.She said “I love writing songs, I never grow tired of it. From the beginning notes and ideas, to the work tapes , to the building of the tracks. Then the vocals, harmonies and the final mix. I love bouncing lines and ideas off of other writers. One word or a few chords can turn into a song. I love all of it”.
She now spends most of her time writing and developing new artists, both in country and pop. She is currently working with Beamer Wigley , an up and coming Canadian country artist currently flying up the Canadian country charts. She is also developing new Country artist Anna McElroy from Mobile Alabama as well as working with pop artists from Canada and the UK.
