He has had eleven of his songs recorded by Country Duo Florida Georgia Line, including the #1 hit singles “Dirt”, “Get Your Shine On”, “Round Here”, and “Anything Goes.” Amongst the innumerable artists to bring Chris’ songs to life, Tompkins’ has had cuts with Tim McGraw, Keith Urban, Little Big Town, Faith Hill, Rascal Flatts, and Hank Williams, Jr. Chris’ songs have crossed over all genres of music.
In addition to Country, he has worked with rapper Nelly, First lady of Disco, Gloria Gaynor, actress Bette Midler, Americana artist and good friend since elementary school Jason Isbell, and rock bands Three Days Grace, Nickelback, Daughtry, Hinder, and Plain White T’s.
In 2006 Jimmy Buffet recorded his song “Bama Breeze” and named his 2007 Tour after the song.
